"We were looking for a project manager to assist us with the demolition of our small lowset home in Holloways Beach and the building of a new 3 bed, 2 bath raised home on the same site as we work away and knew we would not be available to oversee the project ourselves. We approached FNQ Women in Construction as we like to support local business and female professionals in particular and it was important to find someone we could trust to give two women honest and straightforward advice. Rebecca was recommended to us and accessing her services has been the best decision we made. We had a builder already in mind for the house but we needed an independent eye working on our behalf to check the demolition and build at each stage before signing off and making payments. Rebecca has been accessible, friendly and professional at every stage and we were able to consult with her from the very beginning as we were making decisions about local companies to use, timeframes and processes for each part of the project. She has assisted us with the contract, site visits, on site photographs of the build and advice on compliance and certification and has given us honest and clear information and feedback straight away every time. We knew we were going to be away for a good portion of the build but with the emergence of the Covid19 pandemic it has become impossible for us to visit the site at all. Having Rebecca available has removed the potential stress of this completely as we know we can ask her to visit the site at any time and update us on what is happening and we trust her judgement, expertise and feedback completely. She is a professional communicator and very easy to deal with and is mindful of the need to maintain a positive relationship with the builder and other contractors to ensure the project goes well and to schedule. Without Rebecca on board I’m not sure we’d have been able to proceed with confidence with our building project given all the current travel restrictions in place and we are extremely grateful for her services and how easy she has made the whole process.
